Application of VPSA-O2 in the sewage treatment: (1) The aerobic active sludge method replaces the air aeration by the cheap oxygen aeration produced by the PSA method to largely improve the sewage treatment efficiency, reduce the pond area, and lower the construction and operation costs. (2) Water works using the oxygen produced by the PSA method as the raw material of ozone may largely save the energy and lower the construction and operation costs. Glass and Glass Fiber

Total-oxygen combustion smelting technology of the glass industry replaces the air by 90%-93% of oxygen in the gas combustion of heavy oil, coal tar, natural gas and coal convertor in the glass furnace. Total-oxygen combustion is advantageous in reducing the emission of smoke and nitrogen oxide in the smoke and saving the energy. Without considering the energy consumption of oxygen generation, it is generally recognized that the total-oxygen combustion may save over 30% of fuel than the ordinary air combustion. PIONEER’s VPSA-O2 technology can be used to provide oxygen generating devices for the total-oxygen (oxygen-rich) combustion section of glass kilns, with the advantages of oxygen purity of 93% or above, stable oxygen production and flexible load adjustment. Up to now, PIONEER has built more than 20 sets of VPSA-O2 devices for the glass and glass fiber industry, including several oxygen generation projects exported to Bahrain and other countries.

Nonferrous Metallurgy

It is an important technical measure to increase the productivity, reduce the energy consumption, control the environmental pollution, improve the technology of metallurgy and increase the economic benefit by replacing the ordinary air with the oxygen-rich air in nonferrous metallurgy. The VPSA-O2 technology of PIONEER may provide the metallurgy of non-ferrous metals such as copper, lead, nickel, zinc, tin and gold with the stable and reliable oxygen source to optimize the energy saving of oxygen-rich combustion technique, largely reduce the oxygen cost and obtain the significant comprehensive benefit. The non-ferrous metallurgy of copper, lead, nickel, zinc, tin and gold, etc. mainly adopts the oxygen-rich air whose concentration is between 24% and 90% and the productivity of the oxygen generating device is generally under 3,000Nm3/h.
