To avoid or effectively reduce the severely toxic substance "dioxin"  which may be generated during the waste burning, all countries generally adopt the oxygen-rich combustion technology to reduce the secondary environmental pollution caused by waste burning . The application principle of oxygen-rich combustion technology in waste burning: it collects the oxygen in the air to enrich the oxygen content to 25%-30%, and then sends such part of oxygen-rich gas to the burning furnace by the secondary air to increase the overall or partial oxygen content in the furnace and reduce the air excess coefficient of the furnace. Glass and Glass Fiber

Total-oxygen combustion smelting technology of the glass industry replaces the air by 90%-93% of oxygen in the gas combustion of heavy oil, coal tar, natural gas and coal convertor in the glass furnace. Total-oxygen combustion is advantageous in reducing the emission of smoke and nitrogen oxide in the smoke and saving the energy. Without considering the energy consumption of oxygen generation, it is generally recognized that the total-oxygen combustion may save over 30% of fuel than the ordinary air combustion. PIONEER’s VPSA-O2 technology can be used to provide oxygen generating devices for the total-oxygen (oxygen-rich) combustion section of glass kilns, with the advantages of oxygen purity of 93% or above, stable oxygen production and flexible load adjustment. Up to now, PIONEER has built more than 20 sets of VPSA-O2 devices for the glass and glass fiber industry, including several oxygen generation projects exported to Bahrain and other countries.

Oxygen bleaching is the widely-applied clean bleaching technology in the paper pulp field. Pulping enterprises equip the bleaching section with oxygen generating devices to generate rich oxygen for the deoxygenation, delignification and whitening sections. At present, most of pulping enterprises with better oxygen bleaching application effect adopt VPSA-O2 technology. The oxygen production of general pulping enterprises is about 200-3,000Nm3/h, with oxygen purity reaching 93%. Under such oxygen consumption, VPSA-O2 technology has more obvious advantages than other oxygen generating technologies. Nonferrous Metallurgy

It is an important technical measure to increase the productivity, reduce the energy consumption, control the environmental pollution, improve the technology of metallurgy and increase the economic benefit by replacing the ordinary air with the oxygen-rich air in nonferrous metallurgy. The VPSA-O2 technology of PIONEER may provide the metallurgy of non-ferrous metals such as copper, lead, nickel, zinc, tin and gold with the stable and reliable oxygen source to optimize the energy saving of oxygen-rich combustion technique, largely reduce the oxygen cost and obtain the significant comprehensive benefit.
